Systems Biology and Traditional Medicine

Clinical success of alternative and complementary medicine (CAM) is marginalized due to lack of molecular biology evidence. On the other hand, the common denominator between the systems biology, and the various branches of CAM is considering the whole system consisting subjects and interactions.

In this project, we try to describe molecular foundation of human body classification theory in CAM (specially in Iranian Traditional Medicine (ITM)) based on systems biology approaches. This project is funded by Iran National Science Foundation (INSF-89000833) and partly by Institute for research in fundamental sciences (IPM-BS13940120).
